Vision
All people in our community have palliative care that is readily accessible and meets their individual needs.
Mission
Arohanui Hospice provides specialist palliative care services for those who are living with a life limiting illness so that they may gain the most from life.
Values
We believe that each individual is entitled to skilled, compassionate and professional care. We endeavour to meet the needs of patients and their families/whānau through:
- Patient focused care.
- Care that is holistic, enhancing dignity and choice.
- An integration of family/whānau and significant others in the care provided.
- Respect for the social, cultural and spiritual values of the patient and their families/whānau.
- Acknowledgement of the bi-cultural partnership in the community we serve.
- Professionalism and integrity in the provision of knowledgeable, compassionate, ethical care.
- An inter-disciplinary team approach to integrated care delivery.
- A multi-disciplinary approach, applied to the individual challenges of terminal illness, death and bereavement.
