Arohanui Hospice supports those who are living with a terminal illness so that they may gain the most from life
Vision
Arohanui Hospice strives to provide excellence in the provision of palliative care to the people within our region. We believe that each individual is entitled to skilled, compassionate, professional care.
Values
Arohanui Hospice palliative care services should be available and accessible to all in a variety of settings. We endeavour to meet the need of individuals and their families/whanau through:
- Care that is holistic, enhancing dignity and choice.
- A multidisciplinary approach is applied to the individual challenges of terminal illness, death and bereavement.
- Patient focused care.
- An integration of family/whanau and significant others in the care provided
- Professionalism and integrity in the provision of knowledgeable, compassionate, ethical care
- Continual quality improvement in all aspects of our service.
- Respect for the social, cultural and spiritual values of the patient and their families/whanau
- Acknowledgment of the bi-cultural partnership in the community we serve.
- Partnerships with other care providers and health professionals involved in the patient's care.
- Adherence to the Ethical and Practice Standards of the associated health professional bodies and Hospice New Zealand.
