Education for Health Professionals
Education is a key feature of the Palliative Care Strategic Plan that promotes the support of health care workers in a range of settings including ARC, community hospitals, primary & secondary care.
The ERU provides a range of education to meet the needs of the participants and has a particular focus on providing fundamental palliative care education across the district, improving the provision of quality palliative care especially for those people in the last days of life.
The Arohanui Hospice Education Team comprises medical nursing, pharmacy & family support (pastoral & social work).
