Palliative Care Workshops – Palmerston North

The aim of these workshops is to provide sessions on a variety of palliative care topics that are relevant to all disciplines working in primary care settings (including Aged Residential Care, General Practice Teams, Community Support Workers).

Light refreshments will be provided.

Workshop 1  The Essence of Palliative Care

 Monday 26^th March                Arohanui Hospice

Workshop 2   Assessment and management of common symptoms

Workshop 3   Ethical issues in Palliative Care

Monday 28^th May                     Arohanui Hospice

Workshop 4   Pharmacology in Palliative Care

 Time: 5.30 – 7.30 pm             Cost: $10.00 per session

Palliative Care Workshops – Horowhenua and Tararua

These workshops will incorporate the topics listed above but will be delivered in a one-day format.

Workshops 1–4       Tuesday 25^th September       Horowhenua Health Centre

Time: 9.00 am – 4.00 pm Cost: $40

These sessions will be facilitated by the Specialist Palliative Care Team from Arohanui Hospice.
