Arohanui Hospice is holding their annual Michael Higgins Memorial Golf Tournament tomorrow, Thursday 26th May, and it is looking as though it will be another very successful fundraiser for the Hospice.
This will be the 13th time the tournament has been run.
Last year the tournament raised more than $67,000.00.
Arohanui Hospice Event Organiser Kellie Montgomerie is excited the event is running and is hoping this year’s event will exceed amounts raised previously.
“Having had to postpone the event from our original date in March, due to Covid-19 restrictions, we are very excited to see the event taking place and are hopeful to exceed last year’s fundraising efforts.”
There are 35 teams participating in the event including a mixture of female, male and mixed teams playing in two divisions.
The hospice is grateful for the continued support from those that participate in the event and the generous sponsors that provide auction items, prizes and help cover costs associated with the event.
“We are so grateful for the support we receive for this annual flagship event. The success of the event is without question because of the tournament participants, our generous sponsors, volunteers and the Manawatu Golf Club,” says Kellie.
“I feel privileged being involved with such an exceptional event.”
