Arohanui Hospice provides specialist palliative care for patients living with life limiting illnesses, and support for their families/whanau; within the Manawatu, Tararua, Horowhenua and Rangitikei/Taihape regions.

We are seeking a Clinical Administrator to join our busy Referral and Day Hospice Service office.

The successful applicant will have a keen focus on detail, and ensure patient information is entered in a timely and accurate manner.

Applicants for the role must have:

  • The ability to be a willing champion user of all electronic systems utilised by Arohanui Hospice within a clinical context, including electronic patient management systems i.e. VIP, MediMap, and others as necessary;
  • Excellent ability to focus, prioritise, multi task, identify and solve issues within a medical administration context;
  • Advanced experience with the use of MS Office software, not only limited to MS Word and MS Excel;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to liaise successfully with a range of internal and external stakeholders as necessary;
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, as well as working effectively in a team;
  • An excellent telephone manner and letter writing skills;
  • Approachability and have a patient centric approach to clients and their families/whānau;
  • A current, full NZ Drivers licence;
  • An understanding of the Hospice Philosophy of care (an advantage)
