Arohanui Hospice Foundation is proud to share some exciting news that’s helping us go further in our community – thanks to the incredible generosity of Cartown, we have the use of a brand-new MG4 Essence 64kW electric vehicle for the year.
This remarkable gift means more than just transport. The MG4 has been transformed into a mobile billboard, wrapped in our Hearts & Homes fundraising campaign branding, spreading awareness everywhere it goes. From local streets to rural roads, this vehicle is now a moving reminder of the difference our community can make when we come together to support hospice care.
“This donation allows us to showcase our work in a highly visible way, while also supporting our values of sustainability and innovation,” says Michelle Connor, Director of Arohanui Hospice Foundation. “We’re incredibly grateful to Stephen and the team at Cartown for recognising the important work of Arohanui Hospice and helping us raise awareness in such a unique and impactful way.”
For Cartown, the partnership reflects both a commitment to the community and to the future of motoring.
Stephen Coutts, Co-Owner of Cartown with Glynn Theobald and Liam Nesbit, says: “We are proud to support Arohanui Hospice Foundation. The MG4 is an exciting step in the EV market – practical, affordable, and designed with both performance and the environment in mind. By placing it in the hands of the Foundation, we’re not just helping them move around – we’re helping them be seen, start conversations, raise awareness and ultimately raise the funds needed to continue their incredible work.”
The MG4 Essence 64kW is one of New Zealand’s most popular electric vehicles, boasting a driving range of up to 435km, rapid charging capability, and advanced safety features. It’s sleek, efficient, and perfect for the diverse roads of the Manawatū. By running on 100% electric power, the car also supports Arohanui Hospice’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint where possible.
As our Hearts & Homes campaign gathers momentum, you’ll see the MG4 out and about across the region – an eye catching, heart-filled symbol of both community generosity and innovation.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Cartown for this year-long partnership. Together, we’re driving forward with purpose – ensuring specialist palliative care remains free of charge for patients and their families when they need it most.
