Are you a friendly, compassionate person who enjoys helping others? Arohanui Hospice is looking for Volunteer Reception Assistants to be the welcoming face of our organisation, providing support to patients, families, visitors, and staff.
Based at our Heretaunga Street hospice, you'll greet visitors, answer and direct phone calls, assist with enquiries, process donations, and support the reception team with a variety of administrative tasks. Your warm and professional manner will help create a positive and caring experience for everyone who walks through our doors.
This rewarding volunteer opportunity is ideal for someone who is approachable, reliable, and confident communicating with people from all walks of life.
Previous reception or telephone experience is helpful, but a willingness to learn and a commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and excellent customer service are most important.
Currently we are seeking one or two volunteers to join us on Wednesday mornings from 9:00am to 1:00pm and as a possible back up when required. For this role a Ministry of Justice check is required.
