Workshop: ‘Understand me when I’m dying’

Exploring spiritual and cultural diversity, this workshop provides an overview and aims to raise awareness and understanding of the increasing spiritual and cultural diversity that exists within our community. This understanding will enhance our collective ability to offer the most appropriate palliative care.

Buddhist, Maori, Hindu, Muslim and Pacifika representatives will share their perspectives, illuminating how knowledge of their beliefs and traditions can enhance our palliative care approach for people in their communities.

This workshop is open to all those working in the health and pastoral care sectors. Facilitated by George Dempster, Spiritual Care Coordinator, Arohanui Hospice.
