Workshop: 'Beyond the Physical - Supporting End of Life Study Day'

There is so much more to facing the end of life than just the physical symptoms and processes. Join us in examining other aspects of dying including emotional, phychological, spiritual, social and cultural. this day is designed to explore the needs of the dying from a more holistic paradigm.

The workshop is open to all Registered Health Professionals.

Facilitated by the Allied Health Team, Arohanui Hospice

Date: Tuesday 28 July 2020, 9am - 3pm

Venue: Arohanui Hospice, 1 Heretaunga Street, Palmerston North.

Cost: $50

Tea and coffee provided, but you will need to provide your own lunch.

Workshop: 'Understand Me When I'm Dying'

The purpose of this workshop is to raise awareness and understanding of the increasing spiritual and cultural diversity that exists in our community, to enhance our ability to offer the most appropriate care.

Māori, Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim and Christian representatives will share their perspectives, illuminating how knowledge of their beliefs and traditions can enhance our palliative care approach for people in their communities.

This workshop is open to all those working in the health and pastoral care sectors.
