Established in 1991, Arohanui Hospice in Palmerston North provides specialist and palliative care for patients living with life limiting illnesses while supporting their families and whānau. We are situated in Palmerston North and service the Manawatu, Tararua, Horowhenua and Rangitikei/Taihape regions.

Our name ‘Arohanui’ means ‘with much love’ and we strive to demonstrate that every day, in every way, with our heartfelt and excellent care.  Our care is provided free of charge but costs a considerable amount to provide. Just over half of our funding comes from Te Whatu Ora contract, the rest – over 3.5 million – needs to be fundraised and we are able to do this through the generous support of local businesses and individuals who understand the importance of our service in the community.

About the role:

 We are seeking a Digital Marketing Specialist who is a wizard in the digital landscape, with a fervour for planning, creating, and executing online campaigns. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving new revenue streams through online platforms while ensuring the continued success of our traditional communication channels and income sources. You will actively exhibit a deep understanding of effectively communicating sensitive topics in a compelling manner, showcasing the positive impact our Hospice has on the community.

 As a key player in the Foundation team you will be reporting to the Fundraising Operations Manager. Our Foundation team develop opportunities for corporates and individuals to engage in the ongoing support of our services.  You will drive and grow our supporter reach and bring innovation and vigour to our marketing activity.

You will be:

  • Developing and executing innovative online marketing campaigns to drive revenue growth.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate digital strategies with traditional methods.
  • Analyzing campaign performance and make data-driven recommendations for optimization.
  • Staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance our digital presence.
  • Maintaining brand consistency across all digital channels and assets

You will have:

 Marketing Qualification or relevant work experience

  • Design and graphics software experience
  • Proven ability to maximise outcomes over web and print media distribution channels
  • Focus and resilience to participate in the growth of an important community organisation
  • Strengths and experience in bringing innovation and development to marketing frameworks
